3. About 20 minutes before you want to eat, start heating a big pot of water. Cook the spaghetti according to the directions on the box. You’d better have a grown-up help you with cooking and draining it. After the spaghetti is drained, combine it with the sauce and serve.

Makes 6 big helpings. Some people like to have grated parmesan cheese on the table to sprinkle on their spaghetti.

ITALIAN CHEESE SALAD

1 head lettuce

1 medium tomato

2 scallions

¼ pound Gorgonzola or blue cheese

3 tablespoons salad oil 1 tablespoon vinegar

¼ teaspoon salt
